Welcome to my practice.

I am a neurologist, offering diagnosis and medical management of disorders of the brain and nervous system. My special training and interest is in movement disorders, which include parkinsonism, tremor, dystonia, and tics.  I also have an interest in patients with memory disorders or concern about memorizing.

Neurologic disorders can be difficult to diagnose, and they can be demanding for the patient and family. In this practice, I address both medical and non-medical care. I am interested in both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches.

Medical Training

I earned my medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, completed internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, and residency at the Neurological Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. I then completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at Beth Israel New York. I am now affiliated with Long Island College Hospital, where I see patients in the Movement Disorders Clinic. I am Assistant Professor (HS) in the Department of Neurology/College of Medicine SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

My professional memberships include the American Academy of Neurology, the Movement Disorders Society, and the Parkinson Study Group.

Background

I have lived in Brooklyn Heights with my husband, James Grant, for more than 30 years, and we have raised four children here. I am a graduate of Manhattanville College and Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Before attending medical school, I pursued a career in business and finance.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to practice in this community.
